Fresh Water Rinse

I keep my boat in a lift and it's nearly impossible to reach the flush port on a Honda 50. When I bought it I had the dealer Big Boys rig a flushing hose that tied in somewhere under the cowling a exited the motor along with the controls. It had a standard female hose end on it with a screw in plug and it worked great for flushing. I'm not really sure where he tied in and no longer have the engine. I flushed with the engine NOT running. I'm also a big believer in Salt Away. You can literally see it sort of disolve the salt when you wash down the engine and I use it on my trailer axles also.
 
Mwilson: Not sure of your engine type, but when flushing with muffs (Honda 40) I don't get peeing unless I block the 3rd water inlet under the cavitation plate with duct tape. I'm hoping my Permatrims allow me to use one of those flushing bags as I believe that total lower unit immersion is the best way to get water to the engine. Mike.
