We are having a fun time in the Broughtons, So far we have seen what I think was Journey On in Campbell River BC, Then we saw Sea Wolf at Alder Bay Resort, tried to wake him up, but didn't have any luck, then we saw Amigo II in Echo Bay.
So far the fishing has been a bust for me, the commercial prawners have pretty much cleaned things out, but the crabbing is pretty good.
The weather is about as perfect as it gets, and it is great to be back up here again !

Sounds like fun. Where have you tried fishing? I just learned to use bait heads with anchovices while at Sooke and I really worked well. I hope you have more luck.

Well we are back in the States again and I just finished cleaning the last of my fishing gear and getting things put away, and tomorrow it is back to work.
We did quite well fishing as far as I'm concerned, I got some dandy Coho, and the area I was in (12) you could keep one wild fish per day.
The Halibut bite was on and we brought home a limit of Halibut too, I also got a really nice Ling right around 20 pounds.
We just hung out at Echo Bay the whole time, we have been to all the other places many times and Echo Bay has all we need.
The Prawns were huge this year and Crabbing was excellent.
I was in hog heaven !
