Greetings from the Kawarthas
Just wanted to say a quick hello after lurking on the forum for a few weeks.
My wife and I saw a CDory 22 cruiser pulling through Lock 32 in Bobcageyon Ontario, and both decided it would be an ideal candidate for our next boat. Unfortunately we weren't able to talk to the owner.
We currently have a KMV1700 which we have recently started doing overnight trips in. While we like the idea of a "pocket cruiser", the KMV is a little too pocket sized when you put the two of us, our 3 year old, and our dog in it!

Great forum here, and a great resource for a prospective owner . Thanks everyone

Welcome to the group. Yeah, the 22 seems like a great fit for you. Interesting boating area too! I just googled The Kawarthas. Looks like great area for exploring with a C Dory.

Welcome aboard. There are two C Dorys doing the "loop"in your area. " Salty" is a 22 and "DayDream" is a 25, I believe that both passed thru recently.

Lots of boats available now-and a great time to buy!

Welcome! You will probably have to travel to find a Cdory. Very few ever seen for sale in Ont. The last one I saw was a 22 called 'The Black Joke' at the Port Credit boat show. The owner wanted big bucks for it considering its condition and equipment list. There was a 16 in like new condition that sold for a good price in Kitchener a couple of years ago.

The last known dealer was "Boat Max" in Innisville. They moved to Midland(former Doral facility) but went out of business shortly after. I had the opportunity to buy the last Cdory they had for $35,000.CAD! It was a 2009 22angler - still new in 2011 with a 75 Yamaha.

We have launched in Bobcaygeon(Center Point Landing) during our Trent Severn cruises. Love the area - Fenlon Falls - Rosedale - Lindsay - etc. Spent 6 nights anchored off Big Island - beautiful! 4 nights were on an Egan houseboat and 2 on our boat.

Bridge Yachts(Port Dover) had a 22 listed recently (boat was in Quebec) - don't see it listed any more - but I could check if you want.

Regards, Rob
