garageable?

Forgot to check on one very important aspect of keeping my new C-Dory looking good. Will it fit in a standard garage? I have a pretty much run of the mill development home with a standard one-door double garage. I have stored a 15' boston whaler in there with no trouble, with probably 2 feet to spare. Anyone have any idea of if I am facing a surprise when I try to back it in the first time. It is the cruiser model with a honda 50 and an EZ load bunk trailer.
 
Overall length is not likely to be a problem. For us, the height of the boat on the trailer and the width of the trailer at the wheels would not allow us to garage the boat.
 
I was afraid of that. So it is probably sitting up there between 7 and 8 feet high. I don't think width of the wheels would bother me. The wife drives a really narrow car, and I always park outside.
 
Sure, just hook that sucker back up, if you still have a car/truck and your wife will let you and pull it out, back to the factory preferably!! :lol: :lol:

On a 22' you would want at least a 9' preferably a 10' foot tall door. I wouldn't think a sixteen would require less. My trailer is a single axel. So it sits taller than double axels. With the top torn off I barley was able to put it into a seven foot tall door.
Its rare that someone wishes for a smaller garage.

Lyle says his 16' just fits under his 8' garage door. He also says it is 20' 5" overall length with the motor down. That's what Lyle says, and I believe him. Wait a minute - I'll try to find the thread he said it on.......

...Well, I found the thread, and it is about length primarily. But it has a good picture of Bill's dog, so it is worth seeing. This is the one.

Oh not to "stray" (more cat talk) from the topic. I'd be certain to measure your boat and also think about stuff that you may wish to mount on top someday. I have found when door clearances are tight stuff gets broke. This applies to boats , fire trucks and the wifes mirrors.
