Garmin Homeport

Thanks, Brent!
And thanks again for the BOE Marine lead on the Garmin 8012 display (my second) for $1500 I bought! Now it's back up to $4700. So cool!
If we ever meet, I owe you several of your favorite beverages and will still have saved over $3,100 assuming you drink $100 worth of whatever is your fav beverage (that would be a lot of Dr. Pepper, for instance).
Cheers!
John

Unfortunately, that newest upgrade of Homeport removes the activecaptain data from the product. Anyone know why? I found it a nice resource. With y computer crash, I downloaded the newest 2.3.0 and couldn't get any activecaptain data with in it. Reading the notes to the update, the last note states "removed active captain".

Changes made from version 2.2.10 to 2.3.0:

Updated HomePort to conform to GDPR requirements
Removed Garmin Cloud Drive support
Removed Garmin Connect find and upload
Removed Active Captain

It is really hard to know what is happening to Garmin and Active Captain.Panbo, Ben Ellison, has a piece on it in his blog on May 28. Worth reading.

I am having troubles, signing into Active Captain--you have to use your Garmin Account password and ID, instead of the old AC. I can still get and update. Having trouble making changes or new posts. This all seems to be related to the EU political situation, with stricter rules of privacy. I did not go with Garmin in our "new" boat, but still have one Garmin Chart potter, so I can still be a member of the "'Garmin 'club"

I'm able to log in thru my Garmin password, but Activecaptain seems to be useless right now. Use to have a lot of really good info, but that doesn't seem to exist right now. I can't even find various stations. Colby
