If anyone else wants a Garthauer lift we have one that's no longer needed (we sold our kayak).

We won't be back home for a while, but if you're in no rush - give a 'shout in the Fall. I had the lift modified with a longer pole so it would permit added clearance for the kayak, otherwise in workable condition.

I think there are pic's of the installation in our album.

The only challenge would be shipping; it's kind of bulky.
