You have to match gel coat. Gel coat will fade with UV exposure. When a good repair person does a repair, they precisely match the gel coat with pigments. My C Dory came with a quart of each gel coat (off white and green). If you want to try and do it yourself, Spectrum Color has an excellent product (it should be a factory match)--assuming that C Dory will not send you a small amount of the gel coat.
My understanding is the C Dory has used Cook Composites Gel coat thru the years.
