GemLux Bluewater Screwless Rod Holder Install

Well I am pretty new around here, and thought I'd contribute an addition to a new to us Cape Cruiser 23'. I bought Noro Lim From the Perry's and it was just a perfect fit for us and a great experiance buying the boat from them. Thanks again Bill for such a pleasent afternoon and all your efforts involved. Anyhow, The Perry's I think it is safe to say; were much more crusing oriented folks. Not a lot of fishing or crabbing went on in the boat. Having said this, upon arrival I began planning for some flush mount rod holders (Fishaholic here). I found the perfect holders typically found on big blue water boats. What appealed to me was the fact that it is just a single penetration with out screws puddling up saltwater on top. First order of business was to layout the positioning of the rod holders on the gunnels. Pics soon to follow once the powers that be set me up.

Well sorry folks I am unable to post any pics. For some reason I cannot get the browse button to appear below the text box while posting a reply. I changed my preferences under safari and still no dice. I apologize, and if anyone has a suggestion who uses a Mac book Pro Retina please enlighten me. I have already contacted the administrator and the suggestion was to ask around.

Thanks for your patience.

I have a macbook pro retina and post pictures without a problem. However, I'm not sure what you are referring to in your above post - e.g. what "browse button"? Or more specifically, EXACTLY how are you trying to post a picture?

Pardon, I ment to say the attachment button that allows me to browse to the pics I would like to share. I am not sure why it isn't directly below the text box.

Because thats not how photos get uploaded in the php based software that runs this site. This thread might help. But in brief, you first put the photo either in your photo album or someplace else on line. You then insert the image in your post by referencing a URL that points to the image.

Well my apologies, I am having technical difficulties posting pictures either here or to my gallery. However, I would like to contribute so if I can help anyone send me a pm and I can send you photos to give you and idea of the process. I would like to give props to Gemlux for making a superior product. They are very well made rod holders and hell for stout.

Cheers!

Noah
