Get home motor use

We use the kicker for fishing a lot but have used it to get home a few times. On the 22 we lost a blade on a 4 blade prop. 10 miles on the kicker at 5 knots. Lost a plug on the 27's main motor and had to use the kicker for 5 miles to Friday harbor. Lost all electric to main on the 27 and had to use kicker to go last 4 miles to friday harbor again. Motor would only run if I turned left, turn right and it quit. Separated main power line to 225 honda. The brake was inside the rubber covering of the wire. Took two hours to find the problem.

Hello all and thank you for your interest and time in sharing on this subject.
The help and communication with this group Is exceptional and much appreciated by everyone. Hearing from old friends and new makes this special. As some of you know Betsy and I have purchased C-Pearl a 2006
CD 25. She has been cared for by 3 different families and we are the the 4th to have her. The original owners were brats, Jeff and Cathy Brigner and they
took good care of her.

We are just starting a refit program to get her ready for her next
adventure, to be our vessel to finish our great loop adventure. We plan to
restart our loop in the early spring because we have the southern and east
coast part to finish. We all use our boats for different purposes and to be on one for 4 months does take some planning and preparation. Our first boat
Sea Pal was like a old friend and Pal, now we have to make C-Pearl one as
you have had to do with your boats. Living as we do in southern Arizona getting help and parts is not easy, it not the boating capital of our great country! We will take out on a shake down cruise even before the refit is done.

We hope to see some brats on our trip, both old friends and new. We start in Columbus,Ms and end up in Norfolk,Va.

Bob,
I sent a PM..So glad to see you are back in a C Dory, and ready to conclude the "loop" trip! I had to go back and re-read the posts on the first half.

You have to start a new thread for you--"Half the loop two!"

We are looking forward to your new adventures!
