I have noticed that many of you share the same problem as I in that your radar does not match the boat colors. I am on a green & white 25 footer and sporting a blue Furuno radar! The factory tells me that as long as I use an epoxy paint with No metal content that I can paint the antenna how ever I please. Mike on Huda Thunkit

I'm having fun trying to define "Gootchieness." I know where a Gootch is located but how in the world does that relate to radomes?

 :?: :embarrased :smiled

Can you enlighten me? Or is it an "Alaskan" thing?

Don, still ROTFL

Yea, it could be an Alaskan thing or that I cant spell or whatever but I am sure you have heard the word gootchy used in the comparative sense. Ie, those shoes are really gootchy etc. I think the original term originated with someone in the clothing industry? Any way, as a group we seem to have a penchant for perfection on these little boats and I am sure I am not the only guy obsessed with the fact that my radar and my trim color don't match. You throw in the fact that I have a very fertile imagination and a penchant for B.S as well and you get Gootchieness. If you have any knowledge on this gootchy thing please chime in here and clear the smoke. Mike on Huda Thunkit.

Hey guys, Gootchiness happens when you mix Alaska w/ Beverly Hills. Gucci is an Italian clothing and shoe manufacturer that became one of the glamour stores on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills as well as other places around the world. :smiled This ends the upper crust education for today. :crook :crook :crook :disgust :embarrased

Well, we learned two things today, how to spell gucci and that we can paint our radomes! Thanks to Sam for broadning my cultural horizon. Mike on Huda Thunkit
