Great Loop

Thanks brother Pat!
Sherryl would pick up on that! All is well here in the K.W. We have a guy coming tomorow to scrape the bottom of Gypsy. Barnacles and stuff have accumulated in the 35 days since our arrival here! Debbie is doing really good. She has moved the boat from the mooring feild, as they had planned, to the yard for stearing cable work and other items done better on the hard. You two have a great time in the Med!
We may leave Friday, weather permiting, as we are ready to continue our adventure. You know you have been here to long when the pump-out crew is on a first name basis, the bus drivers all know you by name, and the people who routinely use the bus know you as well!
Ya'll enjoy!!!

sounds like all is well. be back in the States on Mon/Tue and will be great to get back on my computer rather than this TV gizmo and it took me a while to fiigure out how to get English on here. Sounds like you have established a bit of an extended family there in K.W. Look forward to Thanksgiving at Mom's to see who all shows up this year. Having the pump out guroo show up at one of our family gatherings may not be a bad idea at all particuarly if we all make it!!!! Send a "kinda-sorta" float plan"ish" if you have one. I am missing my home coast lines andwhat I am picking up on the CNN Internatiional and the BBC looks bad.... due to the oil leak.

Brother Pat...

(NOTE TO C-BRATS: Sorry for this personal email chat here, but the only commo I have with Brother Mike till we get home... Another great reason to be a C-Brat)

Brother....glad to get you back in the state of TN. :thup :teeth

Hope to see you this week. :hug :male :hug2 :dog :beer

Can not wait to sit and chat about your first 6 month leg of the loop.

I agree 100% that there is no need in fighting the very high heats... Kinda like Bill and El say..... when it is too hot or too cold....they move. Noticed in one of their post they got a few snow flakes...

Mike - a suggestion - head north! We were almost this late leaving Florida up the ICW one year and cooked in the swamps of Georgia. Scrambo buddy and have a great cruise northerly.

Hey Ya'll!
Bill, we are gonna hang here in TN for a while and see what the next move will be. I have first hand knowledge of the GA. swamps...spent a few weeks at Ft. Stewart shooting Table VIII in the M-60A3 tank. I thought the folks there were reeeally friendly by waiving so much...they were swatting gnats!!!
Pat, look foward to sittn' round and spinning yarns! Grandsons want to play with the dingy so I will have to oblige them and see who has the most fun...them or me!
C Ya'll Later,
Mike & B in Tennessee

Hello Brats,
We are here in Tennessee for a while and are catching up on visiting, business stuff, GRANDSONS,and neighbors. Gonna catch a Guard retirement seminar, and...look at a boat.
Gypsy is for sale. We have enjoyed the boat emensley, shared many hours with her. The first mate needs more space and A/C, I'd like a fly bridge and we both want to be able to be self-sufficiant to stay away from marinas and resturaunts for a longer duration. So, we think we have found a boat that will allow that at a fair price. Talkin' to much about it might jinx the deal so I will shut up! I will try to post her in the "boats for sale" if I can. Some of you know the boat and her history and improvements. $26,500.00 will get her delivered within 200 miles Thank you all for your support on the loop and this site, come what may, will be a place to return to more often.

Thanks, El & Bill,
Being our inspiration and mentor, we will also have an easier time computing to stay in touch!

Been following you for some time Mike. Great trip!! Have you run across This Guy yet? Doing the loop on a West Wight Potter (15') sailboat, no sails but two 2HP outboards... He knows the value of "twins". Gets 20-30 mpg according to the story!!

We all love a good adventure so excuse me Mike for this slight interruption to your Loop Thread but since you are taking a summer break this will be a good read for all of us old salts who dream the dream.

This fellow is from my brother Boo's neck of the woods...Albany, Ga. and just completed a 2600 mile river trip we can all enjoy.

Mike, what a great story, he sure can tell them well! Read all there was to read, can't wait for the finish!
