Best wishes for a Happy 4th of July to all of you! We are blessed with great things, Freedom being a huge one. Special thanks to all who have served, enjoy your Independence Day. George and Carolyn. Your Canadian c brat friends.
 
We also wish to wish all of the C Brats "happy 4th of July". We are having about 30 of our friends over for a gathering at Camp Thataway. Later we may take the Caracal down to the Wharf and Listen to Ringo Star and his 13th all star band (if Marie is up to it and the bay is calm).

I am going to read the first few lines of the Declaration of Independence as well as ask our friends to observe a moment of silence. Most of us have served in the military--a number were career officers.

Happy 4th from north of the border. Having lived in the USA for 20 years (green card) and travelled the globe before settling down I can say that I am one Canadian who thinks we have great neighbours. Enjoy your day. 🇺🇸👍
 
Friday Harbor is not a typical small town, but the 4th of July traditions are here. There was a parade this morning. Right now, I am sitting in the cockpit, listening to a live band playing in the marina parking lot. We should have a good view of the fireworks from our boat in the slip.

Of course, the day is about more than flags, hot dogs, parades, and fireworks.
