Today is our favorite Stanwood C-Brat's birthday :cake and it gives us great pleasure sending our best wishes to Roger on his special day. Just to refresh the story that we've told over the years, is how we first met Roger. We'd just been over to EQ Marine where Les was rigging our 19CD and had decided to go to West Marine in Anacortes. We'd just started walking into the store as this guy is leaving WM and he's wearing a C-Dory hat. You know the one, it looks a hundred years old but then Roger is only 39 today :wink: , so that hat is now a real antique :love but not Roger as he'll always be young at heart :love Happy Birthday Roger :cake

In the darkness of the early morning hours this morning, I walked out to the road to pick up the newspaper. On the westward walk back to the house, I saw a tremendous fire in the distance. I thought that the whole town of Stanwood was being consumed by fire, but now I am reassured that it was just the candles on Roger's Birthday Cake. :mrgreen:

I want ya'll to notice in the pic that Jim is nowhere in site. it was a little drizzley that day and Jim refused to get out of the car to pick peas in the wet....lol.....

and also thankyou to all of you for the well wishes
 
OK, for full disclosure, I was the one IN the car, taking photos of those people OUT in the drizzle (it was my job to protect the camera). Notice that Joan is wearing a winter GorTex coat... as in: it was cold out there. My Momma never had to say to me, "Boy, you don't have the sense to come in out of the rain." 8)

And more importantly: I am not a big fan of peas. Now, if you had been standing in a field of pizza, I woulda been right out there with you! :mrgreen:

For a bit more disclosure, that photo was taken on my birthday... in July! Something not right about wearing a winter coat in July.

Oh, Wow! I can't help myself, here's a photo of Jim protecting the camera from the drizzle. That was sure a fun day!!
