HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We can all share the 'myth' of a 'finish' of the old and the 'start' of the new - let's celebrate that new and may the world be a better place for it! HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

PS - we're off to the mountains again and a different cabin to celebrate with all the kids and grandkids. Our last journey up to the high country was a beautiful time (with fresh snow on Christmas Day) for all of us. Today the sun is gleaming bright on new snow and we'll be watching the sledding and skating of g'kids all afternoon and tomorrow, in the shadow of the Rockies.

By the way, those who remember that we started an investment club for the g'kids - they all had a higher percentage gain, at years end, in their real retirement portfolios than their G'Pa but none could beat G'Ma's return. Smiles all around. They spent the day yesterday in the club meeting discussing how to adjust their portfolios for 2010. Great to hear the little scrappers discussing price/earnings, risk/return and dynamic yield curves.

Bob and Marie send their Happy New Years greatings to all. We have returned to Pensacola after a wonderful two weeks with my children and grandchildren in S. Calif (San Clemente and Culver City). Our only causality was algae in the swimming pool (timer didn't work properly) and the cover blown of the Caracal console--with some cracks on the screen of the new Lowrance depth sounder--no freezing and some rain...

We will spend New Years with our buddies at "Club Mud" at the BSH on Bayou Chico. Celebrating with us will be sailing buddies from S. Calif who we have known for over 47 years....

May the next year be better than the last! Thanks to all of my friends in C Brats!

Happy New Year Bill and El! You guys get around.
PM me all the cool details on how to increase my portfolio yield. I have so far perfected the buy high sell low one.

I'll gladly turn my millions over for you to manage.
(oh my wife says it's not millions... oh dear)

But anyway you have a new client. George

Happy New Year to all.

Our Chicago attorney daughter called a couple of hours ago to tell us that she and her boy friend got married this afternoon. He's a great guy, laid off as junior commercial pilot post 9/11, went back to school to get degree in architecture, laid off earlier this year by commercial design/construction firm. Fortunately Sara makes a good living!

Great way to get a jump start on the New Year!

BTW enjoyed the Chesapeake exploration book and sent it on.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR C-BRATS FRIENDS....

Hope the new year is better, heard water running about an hour ago and, crawling into our crawl space under the house, a pex 1/2" cold water pipe has split. :cry Not from freezing, our crawl space is heated. Had to shut water down, no way to isolate it, will try to get repair stuff from Lowes tomorrow, fortunately they are open. Guess we'll just have to drink the Champagne!! :cocktail :cocktail

Best wishes to all in the coming new year from your fellow cult member in the not so sunny southwest Florida. Where we will be on Lake O for the first day of the new year....starting off the year in the right way...on the water, in a C-Dory with my Best Mate and the Paps...Life is good.

Happy New Year everybody from Jim and Cindi in the Florida panhandle. We are spending the weekend on the boat hanging out in the bayous on Choctawhatchee Bay. May 2010 be the best year yet!

Happy New Year to all! Dee and I have been hosting my brother Scott for a couple of weeks. Scott and I just finished up a 3 day remodel of Dee’s mom’s bedroom yesterday. Today we are all off for our traditional New Year’s Day at Dee’s mom’s house for ham and black-eyed peas (for good luck) with the family. Dee is preparing her specialty deviled eggs for the holiday. (I’m waiting for her to turn her back so I can sneak one)

Have a safe New Year!

Don and Dee

Happy New Years to ALL!!!
Enjoyed bringing in the new year doing a boat check on a wonderful 44' Kadey Krogen that myself and a couple others will be moving cross FL and up to Ft. Pierce next week,....and that wonderful bowl game, The Outback Bowl where Auburn won.....3 times if you watched it.... (not the kind of game for those with high BP issues)...... but a great win.

Yall have a healthy blessed boating new year.... and give a shout if you plan to boat the Cumberland in 2010.
