hauling the old boat off

I'm hauling the old tub away this week. I'll miss the old boat, we've had it for about 12 years but as I start the final approach to retirement it's got me thinking about what's really important & what we hope to do after we banish the work word.

We've had some great times in the old boat, met a lot of nice folks, watched the kid develop into a fine young man partially due to boating and fishing and had some awsome vacations in our floating water front cabin. But, the old boat is getting old, and thinking ahead to the retirement years, I don't want to be shelling out a bunch of money every time a carb gets goobed up by this quality fuel we now have available. The old gal has hardly been used the last bunch of years as I've been getting my boating fix elswhere, on somebody elses dime ....it's time to put the old gal down and move on.

HELL YA, put her down to the boat dealer and have them hang a pair fire breathing, fuel injected 50 hp Suzukies on her. Gonna haul her down to sportcraft and have them slam on some new technology, something that will give us another 10-15 years of trouble free boating.......did you think I was getting rid of this fine adventure craft? yer nuts

haha that's great, after I read this part I had to really hold myself back to read the rest. If you told me boating and retirement dont go hand in hand I would have just given up on life today! lol :beer

those new motors sound GREAT!

thanks, it's always fun to twist things about a bit, I hope yous may have gotten a grin out of that.

I'm pretty excited about not fiddling with carbs anymore....some may call it a carb free diet, especially with the kid taking over comand of the boat when I'm away. More power, fuel injection, can't wait to hit the starter and have it just fire up and idle smooth without have to dork around with the choke...life is good :)
