Neil, Congratulations and Welcome

You have acquired a great boat and have a wonderland of a cruising area. Most of us Left Coast Brats love cruising in BC waters. Hope to see you on the water this season. Got a new name in mind for the boat?

Neil,

Welcome too. You have picked a real fine vessel, well taken care of and pretty well traveled, from a really nice family. Some of us from the area (PNW) get together occasionally at meetings, (informal) called CBGT's or C-Brat Get Together's. Informal, and fun, and you would be welcome. Check the home page, front and center for where, when and the details. There is one coming up in July at Comox, and usually one in Friday Harbor in May, along with several others here in the PNW.

Enjoy the new boat, and here at the Brats meeting house. It's a special family, no extra charge.

Hi Neil,

Congrats on the new boat. Another C-Dory goes to Vancouver Island. Love it. Don't forget to sign up for the Comox gathering, last weekend in July.

Martin in Comox.

Nanoose Bay

Hi Neil, great area.

I remember (1993 ?) having lunch on the deck @ Schooner Cove Marina when an aircraft carrier appeared out on the strait.

We ran out to the edge of Whiskey Golf to see the USS Ranger as a helicopter flew overhead...carrying a torpedo suspended by a cable.

I suppose that's pretty ho-hum to locals but I was quite excited and shot some neat pictures.

Welcome Neil. You have a great boat with a good history. There will be a C-Brat gathering at Friday Harbor in Mid-May and you are very welcome to come. We usually have a few Canadians and They would be happy to have their numbers increased. At the top of the home page you will see a tab for "event signups" go there and you can see what events have signup sheets. New ones show up occasionally. This is a very welcoming and knowledgeable bunch and some on the site even have good answers sometimes.

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy your 25 as much as we have been enjoying ours. You are in a great area for cruising and the 25 is definitely a fine boat for the area.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Welcome to the Brats - a friendly and knowledgeable group. As others have said, the gatherings are also a special experience. Enjoy your fine boat.

Neil, let me join in the welcome! Many of us know your new boat, and its prior owners, from a number of CBGTs. Really nice people, great boat, well cared for - you did well! We will be going to Comox in our CD25 Daydream, in fact we are making a cruise out of it, starting in Blaine, WA, doing the Southern Gulf Islands and Princess Louisa before heading over to Comox. Hope to see you!

Welcome Neil and congratulations on the purchase of a great boat.
Another islander eh? We definately have been growing rapidly in numbers lately.
I am a bit confused though......you home port is Nanoose but your province is Alberta? :?
Hope to see you on the water sometime.

Cheers :beer

Welcome to the C-Brats Neil......I'm sure that you are going to enjoy your fine new vessel as well as your fellow C-Brats!

Welcome Niel and congrats on the fine boat. You have her in a great place to cruise out of. We hope to meet up with you out there. The C Brat gatherings are a great place to meet new friends who are passionate about their boats and a lot of other things. Come out to some gatherings and meet some fine folks. Kerri On is based in Nanaimo at the moment. George
