Tiring with whats currently on the boards, I decided to start this post.

If you were building a perfect boat, how would you change the current model you own?

I'm a 25ft. guy and there are only a couple things they could change that would make this boat "perfect' for us.
If you gave it a Tom Cat rear end with the full transom and motor brackets I would be very pleased. In fact at some point mine will go this direction. This does 2 things for me, it gives a larger cockpit, and gives the large main and kicker a nicer profile making steering them cleaner.

Big changes like this are easier for the factory to accomplish and for those of us with time restraints it would be a big plus. In a 22 ft for instance you have the cruiser, fisherman option. How about offering some BIG options for the other boats.
Go for it, with a title like this, someone from the factory will see what you write.

On a CD-22: In the cockpit, I would raise the molded in step a
bit. It is a good drop from the gunnel down to the step, and the
step is not very high off the deck. Perhaps this has been done
with the new liner?

Yup, that would be very nice, there are many things on a c-dory one could easily do in the factory,
but man, I can tell you those little things on the boat are a pain in the but...

But hey, no boat is perfect, but sure it would be nice if boat manufactures would listen a bit more
to there costumers, specially if they can read all on a superb forum like this :D
