Hinged front windows

Does anyone have or know a supplier for hinged front windows for a 16' cruiser? I live in Fla. and one needs all the ventilation one can get. Thanks, Ron

The windows currently installed in CD-16's almost certainly come from Diamond Seaglaze. Give them a call.
 
Having spoken to them recently about the same thing for my 22' I can report that they are very helpful on the phone and there is a lot of info on their web site http://www.diamondseaglaze.com/.

Long and short (as I understand it) it that you need to remove the old window and send them a paper template. They quoted (off the cuff) for my 22' about $900....I was a little surprised but hey, it is a boat!

Ron – before you order the windows from Diamond, check out the windows available at Peninsula Glass Co.—Motion Windows Division. This is a reputable company located in Vancouver, WA and they make the windows for many of the Coast Guard Cutters on the West Coast. Their quality is as good or better than Diamond SeaGlaze. I use them on the Marinaut. If you are ordering a lot of windows, their price is about 70% of Diamonds. For one or two windows their price is about a half of the cost of Diamond.

While restoring our 1983 Classic, we recognised the need for a hinged front window.

After some searching around, I contacted http://www.motionwindows.com sent them the existing window as a pattern, and ordered a perfect hinged replacement.

Very happy with our decision.

Took Ron's (C-R-Dory) advice and ordered from Motion Windows, Custom made to fit,
Good quality, If I remember cost was around $600.

Just finished the installation last month and everything works well.
