What is the capacity of the holding tank on the tc255?

Gene, If you have the toilet with integral holding tank under it, 9 gallons. Wish it were bigger.
 
We have a Road Trek with a 10 gallon holding tank--similar capacity to the 9 gal of the TC 255 and have gone a week without dumping. We keep the water pump off for urine---and just wrinse the head bowl a couple of times a day. One of the problems with the system is that the fresh water puts in one pint of fresh water for each "Flush". This means that 8 flushes are a gallon--and 72 were a full tank--with out any waste material.
 
I cut the water inlet line a few inches from the toilet and put in a ball valve. We use as little water as possible per flush.
 
Along the lines of this question... what is the point of having the water pump switch on the helm panel? Every motorhome/motorcoach we've owned has the pump switch(es) by where you use the water - at the sink or by the toilet.

We also conserve water onboard by careful use of the head, and don't have the pump on for urine. Just a very short rinse afterwards (what comes out with the pump off). Then turn the pump on for a couple seconds to be ready for the next use. Then, pump off. We only turn the pump on when actually using water.

I have to say that I much prefer this head set-up compared to a seawater flush... use black tank chemical and there is no odor. We can go for days without needing a pumpout or dumping. More capacity than this, and you are hauling around unnecessary weight.

Hi Jim, BTW great pics of your cruises, as someone said, gives us 'still-working-stiffs' hope!

I added that problem to my 'list' and last year it bubbled to the top! I bought a heavy duty switch from Radio Jap (20-25amps) with light and a 9ft 110V heavy duty Air Conditioner cord, cut both ends, wired from electrical panel back under the gunnel on inside past throttle controls and mounted under gunnel right next to the sink. VERY handy now. We turn the pump on/off for each use because mine cycles too about every 20 seconds (internal pressure leak in pump). I'll post pictures next opportunity.
