honda eu2000i

i have a quoted price for new unit at $869. no cost for shipping and no sales tax. does this sound like a deal to you?
also, not sure what the dc output of 12v. 96w (8a) would be used for.
any thoughts are greatly appreciated. i'm ready to place an order, but will wait until this afternoon.
as always, thanks for any responses.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Thats about $70 less than I have seen them locally. I have one and it works well. Once you have it you will finds all kinds of uses for it. Get the battery charging cable.

The DC output allows you to charge batteries. You need to buy an accessory cable to do this. Alternatively, you can just plug directly into a shorepower connection from the AC side. You would need a converter for your shore plugin to do this.

this is exactly what makes the c-brat site so valuable. present a question and 15 minutes late, or less, answers start coming in.
thanks for the info, here's what i did. i ordered the eu2000i for $869.99, the battery charging cable for $15.99 and the cover for $21.99. total was $907.97, no tax or shipping, other than $6.00 for insurance.
purchased from honda dealership at www.wisesales.com 1-800-916-9473.
ask for ed or bob.
thanks again

Motorsports of Ukiah (Northern CA) sells the EU2000i for $865.00. No tax (if you are outside CA) or shipping. Their toll free # is 800-832-7365.
:D  :!:

I have purcahsed from Wise Sales (Ed)--and had excellent service. I would also consder either the "extended run tank", or just an extra cap, and make your own "extended run tank".

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD PRICE ON A VERY GOOD GENERATOR. I HAVE HAD ONE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. RUN THE BOAT DURING THE SUMMER AND THE HOUSE WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT. I KEPT IT WHEN I SOLD MY 30 FOOTER AND BOUGHT THE NEW CD25 IN JANUARY. I GOT THE SAME UNIT FOR A PREMIUM FOR BUYING AT THE O7 BOAT SHOW. SOLD THE NEW ONE ON CRAIGS LIST FOR 850.00, SOLD IT TO THE FIRST PERSON THAT LOOKED AT IT. KEPT MY OLD ONE.
