Honey Dog Looking Towards Puget Sound Forever

"Honey", our faithful boating companion died this morning. :rose2 Those that knew her, know that she was up in years. She always seemed happiest out on "Sea Shift" as we cruised the waters of Puget Sound. She perked up the most when she saw the truck hitched up to the boat, because she knew she was heading out for another glorious trip.

I laid her to rest on our farm, facing west towards the salt water she loved to cruise.

She will always be our "ship mate!"

Dave and family,

Please know our hearts go out to you. Our furry family members contribute so much and ask so little. You did good by her. Hopefully the good memories will help in this sad time.

Our condolences,
Jim & Joan Bathurst (and Molly the cat)

Dave, Robbin and I are so sorry about your loss. I know she was your boating partner and we will always have fond memories of you walking her in the early morning down the dock.

Dave, Patti and I are very sorry to hear of your loss. Losing dogs is so sad, they are so much more than just pets. We wish you the very best and know that you have a strong "account" of good memories to draw upon.

Dave-

So sorry to hear of Honey's loss. Sometimes the loss of a faithful friend like her is a great as any other family member. All of the rest of us pet owners know how you feel. Hope the pain subsides leaving the wonderful memories of times together. Joe.

Dave and family, sorry for your loss. I like this little passage.

-Near this spot are deposited the remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all the Virtues of Man, without his Vices. This Praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery if inscribed over human ashes, is but a just tribute to the Memory of Boatswain, a Dog.

George Gordon, Lord Byron, "Inscription on the Monument of a Newfoundland Dog"

We are so sorry to hear this, Dave. She was the first dog we met on the CB docks. She will be missed, as will your stories of why she didn't come along on the few trips she would miss. I hope Jessica is not hurting too bad. She and Honey Dog were nearly lifelong buds.

Mike, Tiffany and Jamie

Dave,

Sorry for your loss. Marcia and I have experienced the anguish of losing a best friend also. Our thoughts are with you.
