How far would/did you drive for a C-Dory?

20 miles one-way from Anacortes to Mt. Vernon to pick up the TC. Then back again to splash it at Skyline Marina.

But when I bought my first boat, a Hewescraft, I drove from Salt Lake to Tom'n'Jerry's in Mt. Vernon and back -- 908 miles one way.

Well lets see. Fall City,WA to Portland Or, twice, one to look at the boat and then the second to pick it up for my Jet Sled. Then Fall City, to a small town north of Dallas, TX for the 27' about 4800 miles total. My son picked up the 27' for me as I couldn't take the time off work. On the way back he took the long way home to see family in Phoenix, AZ and Yuba City, Ca.
 
It sounds like long trips are the norm! By comparison we take intermediate trips. --The first CD 22, we drove from Pensacola to Elephant Butte Lake--about 1200 miles--sea trialed and purchased the boat--then drove to Los Angeles, used it for a couple of months--and then to Powell--finally to Los Vegas, where it was stored. CD 25, we towed the new trailer 1200 miles to pick the boat up in New Jersey (as is, were is purchased). Towed the boat back to Pensacola--where we restored it, then about 2800 miles to S. Calif. Via Powell. Certainly some great trips and stories about delivaries.
