David -

So what's the scoop? Last we heard, you were heading to the factory to pick her up.

The guys busted their butts to get everything cleaned, tweaked, and polished. But didn't leave the factory until 7 PM. 2 hour drive to Anacortes and the last ferry on M-TH is at 6. But knot to worry. Brought along a gal of kerosene, laptop with a movie, a couple of libations, and coffee for the morning. Camped out in the ferry line for the 6:30 morning ferry.

Spent four hours this morning putting stuff back on that came of the 22. Put her in the water at 2Pm and putted around for a couple of hours doing what the book said to do for break-in.

Picking up Pat A at 2 tomorrow at Cap Sante and heading off to Lopez. Got to put the boat in the water at 6Am on a bouy because of the tides tomorrow.

Coming back on Sat to pick up the spousal unit and Nikko the cat. Not sure if Pat is staying Sat or not. Hope he likes cats.

First wet pictures in the album.

David:

CONGRATULATIONS!! We wish you guys and the new Anna Leigh the best. Hope you have a great maiden weekend. Look forward to some wet pictures. As soon as we figure out how to put pictures in the album wewill post some pictures of Spirit on the Missouri River at the Gates of the Mountains.

We can't believe that we leave home in two weeks to deliver Spirit to Les to get her ready for her 2 month crusise north. We'll get in touch next week to coordinate our visit.

Okay, looking forward to seeing you. Spend a couple of days with us if you can.
Just got back from a week-end trip to Lopez Is. for Opening Boat Season. 18 C-Dorys there. Had a great time. Pat A wend with me on Fri. His boat will be ready on Wed. Went back to GI on Sat afternoon and picked up Kate and the cat. Had a great week-end weather wise and all went well on the boat. Have 12 hours on it now and it has gone through its break-in time. Early Sat am Pat and I went across to Friday Harbor on San Jual Is. to meet some friends for a quick visit and on the way back on glassy smooth water we hit 38.1 MPH by GPS (handheld).

Taking the boat to Les on Tues for electronics.

More later. Got to mow the lawn and then go down and putll the boat onto the trailer. Tide was too low when I got back to do it.
