Interest in visiting with C Dory cruisers at Friday Harbor

I am new to WA and power boats. While I raced a Flying Scot sailboat in Arkansas, I have no boat, sail or power, at this time. The C Dory is very appealing. I plan to drive from Olympia to Friday Harbor for the Friday Harbor gathering May 13-15. I would like to chat with owners about the CD22 vs 25, etc.. I'd appreciate suggestions of the best way to do this. Are there meetings planned? Do you hang out at a pub or coffee house? I work with a CD22 enthusiast and I enjoy visiting the C Brat site. I look forward to visiting with you.
Thanks! Dan Donahue

Dan, just get thee to Friday Harbor and come down to the gathering at the marina and introduce yourself, no problemo. We mostly hang out around the boats on the dock! You will not have a hard time finding us. The potluck is Saturday night, you would endear yourself to all of us if you brought something really good, but no pressure! Lots of people will be happy to show off their boats. Our boat is Daydream, a CD25, come on over say hello!

Oldgrowth Dave is boating from Oly to Friday Harbor, maybe you could hitch a ride!

Dan,

I'll second Pat's motion to "come on down". When you get to Friday Harbor, as you are walking down the dock facing the ferry (and the water) the C-Dorys are usually over on the left hand side of the marina. You can always ask at the marina office right at the head of the dock. Look for the bunches of mylar helium ballons if you can't see the C-Dory's.

Welcome to stop by SleepyC, a 22 Cruiser with twins.

Have a geat time,

Harvey

Dan,

+2. Come on down, it's a sight to see, all those pretty little C-Dorys lined up on the dock.

It's the latest conversion fad Harvey. You've been off the site a little lately and missed a lot!
