Interesting Tug

Herb---this tug reminds me of a Pilgrim, except it appears to be possibly wooden. I know those guys in Maine can still build some great wooden boats. If it is actually from Maine orginially, this could be a one of a kind design. This is like something I would buy! ----Rich

Looking at that boat, it appears to be what I've heard referred to as a "Florida River Cruiser" (or Florida Bay Coasters)... a tug type look with a different purpose. These were generally shoal draft, good accommodations, low power requirements for better economy.

Nifty looking boat.

Rockwood ME is a town on the shore of Moosehead Lake, so the tug might have started out as a lake boat. Very comfortable looking, isn't it?

I agree that it is a Pilgram 40. These are a classy boat built in Canada (a few 43's were built in Mexico)

The Pacific trawlers are very similar, and one of my close friends has owned one of theser for about 18 years. The Pacific trawlers are from 37 to slightly over 40 feet and built in Taiwan.
