Is name "C-Puffin" still in use?

I am thinking of naming my new 22 C-Puffin. I notice there was a 25 in the group by that name which was sold almost exactly a year ago and has not been heard from since. While I know it is not unheard-of to have two boats with the same name (i.e., Knotty-C, if memory serves) it would be nice to have a unique name. So -- anyone know what happened to the old C-Puffin?

C-Puffin was a 25 owned by the C-Dory Salesman Scott Mathews that worked for the factory. As I remember he did sell the boat about a year ago. I'll try and find who he sold it to.

On edit here. She was sold on April 16, 07 and the new home was reported as in Oregon. No mention that I can find of who bought her.

What!?! There's another Knotty C? I didn't know that. We have a lot of sister ships that LOOK like us, but I haven't seen another with the same name.

Oh there's scads of Knotty C's, in fact, we just renamed our boat Knotty C...how come you aint working Don?

What ever happened to Scott? he, spouse & dog where a good addition to brat gatherings

I suppose there are a lot of vessels named the same, but it can get confusing....especially for old guys like me...

When we were considering names for our former 16' C-Dory, I automatically thought of "Little Toot", but then learned that there were already several 16' "Little Toots". Then I thought about naming it "Sin Or Swim" but the Admiral AKA Co-Owner didn't care for that....

It sure can be a challenge to come up with a name.....I think we had a list of about 50 to consider.

Don is working. I just peeked on-line. Shhh. BC. Don't tell anyone.

We have been hoping to contact Scott. We enjoyed seeing them at the gatherings. I don't know that anyone is using the name C-Puffin any longer.

I saw Scott about 1 yr ago in Everett. He was working at a marine store
down by the marina. Sorry I don't know the name of the store. If you haven't found him I could drive there and ask. I still won't be there for
awhile. :smiled john :smiled
