is the C-Brats site slow?

The site is clearly much slower than it had been.

I have noticed that when certain functions are being performed there is a line in very fine type at the bottom of the page that says "debug is on".

"Page generation time: 0.3688s (PHP: 90% - SQL: 10%) - SQL queries: 23 - GZIP disabled - Debug on"

If it had been off and was turned on for some reason, that sometimes can slow things down. There are many reasons why a web site can suddenly slow down.

This line always appears, on just about every page.

I was told earlier this morning that the slowdown was due to an excessively high traffic site on the same server as us, and that his/her account had been disabled. That obviously didn't fix it.

Subsequent testing shows the problem is within the ISP's network, not on the C-Brat server. They have been notified.

I just tested .820 MB down .355MB up to the Seattle server
and 1.7 MB down and .365 MB up to the NYC server - pretty lousy :cry

I'm using a Comcast cable connection at home. The speed will get much better as users on the neighborhood Comcast node drop off to watch TV, go out, go to bed, etc.
