Well,

I got an offer on SeaDNA last Sat. and today the $'s were exchanged and the boat went away on the hitch (arm?) of another. SeaDNA was my first boat outside of 12- 16' aluminum jon boats my parents owned when I was a kid. SeaDNA had 8+ good years together but alas my eyes wandered to a newer, faster, sexier model. I just want SeaDNA and everyone to know this does mean I don't still love her, it's just I've found a new boat who will do things SeaDNA never could. I'm sure her new owner will take good care of her.

Congrats on the sale, Roger. We all know how much you enjoyed that boat and the work you did to it to make sure the next owner would have a great owner experience. :thup

Our lives change, circumstances change... and sometimes we make boat changes. You did it the right way.

Best wishes,
Jim

Congrats for the sale but it is difficult to watch your boat leaving with the new owner and I hope they will join the site and participate.

Best regards

Actually, he shoo-ed me out the driveway so he could make a show downtown with his wife! <grin>

Thank you Roger for taking such good care of your boat!

Keith,

We did make it to the show on time (with 10 minutes to spare after parking). Lucky for us, traffic into downtown Seattle was unusually light. Since it was raining cats and dogs, Joyce was particularly concerned that about traffic and of course if we were late, it would be my fault. So the ride down was a little chilly, but things wound up just fine. I'm sure the boat will serve your intended purpose, and feel free to call me if (when?) you have questions.

Congratulations Roger and Keith. Many happy returns to both.

Eight years ago, she seemed perfect, like a match made in heaven, you learned and trusted her, took care of her and had wonderful times together over those years. Time changed you and and her, but you worked on that, made her and you the better for it. Roger, you will do fine, from here. The goal now is to have some constructive distractive positive therapy, and I know you are going to be able to do that.

Harvey-

Sounds like a whole new phrase around which one could write a book, found a school of thinking, make a name, and maybe a small fortune!

Better copyright it and reserve the website before someone else sees it!

Hey Harvey-isn't that diagnositc nomenclature #6955 for what we laypeople call 'sleep'?

The sale and purchase of SeaDNA seems to prove the old saying about the two happiest days in a mans life, regarding his boats.

Congrats, may all our transactions work out so well!

Joe,
Sure sounds like a good idea, but I can't take credit for it being my original. I'm sure I heard it somewhere.

Marty,
Not sure of the numerology, but constructive distractive positive therapy is what keeps me FROM sleep. Too much other stuff going on.

Roger.............

Congratulations on a successful sale. 8 yrs. is a long time to love your old boat but I had mine for 26 yrs. It was very hard to see it go away behind someone else's truck. The only thing that made it acceptable is that my son owns it and it is only several miles from my home in Anchorage. He is taking real good care of it and enjoys it also.
I really like my new boat but occasionally reminisce about the old 22'. I can't help it.
