It's a girl!

We are in the process of rescuing Wendy from the Humane Society and will bring her home this coming Wednesday morning after she bravely undergoes the required surgical procedure (She will be surprised to discover that we already have a cat).
Of Pomeranian / Terrier mixed heritage, Wendy is an adorable tender girl, about 1-year old, 15 lbs, and already knows the commands of sit, come and stay. We are told she enjoys boat rides, long walks through the countryside, good-naturedly teasing of cats, and cuddling up by a cozy fireplace.
Wendy asks that you look kindly upon the gauche cut of her hair as seen in the attached photograph. An up-and-coming tonsorial artist with blunt shears did the deed … but thankfully, it will grow back to its former glory. Wendy looks forward to having fun with the canine collection as well as humans at upcoming C-Brat gatherings. After the trauma of time in an animal shelter, it would be nice if you all would bid her a warm C-Brat welcome.

She's cute, alright. I wonder if she likes catnip and a little scratcher under the chin. That's one purdy puddy tat.

Thanks for rescuing her! Wendy, I'll see you on the dock.

That face kinda reminds me of a kit fox that used to hang around our place. Good looking dog!

I'm glad you saved her. Sammy the Wonder Dog approves!

Hi Wendy
Welcome to the pub. Don't worry everyone's friendly.
Hope to meet you at one of the gatherings this summer, us girls can hang out together and chase that cat :cat

Patty here. She's adorable! Oscar can't wait to sniff her butt. :smilep

Being careful not to discourage Oscar’s advances, Ms Wendy requests that he, being a gentleman, would exercise just a modicum of discretion.

Uh oh! I suppose you'l be getting a Yamaha next!?!

Cute little mutt, for sure. She'll fit right in. When Kay gets done watching the Westbergster Dog Show on TV, I'm sure she'll have some kind comments for you, too.

Good for you for saving her. I wonder how she ended up at the shelter?

Yes, we wonder about that .... and were told the previous owner could not afford the very moderate licensing fee. So I am inclined to take that explanation with a pinch of kibbles.

A glance at Wendy's social calendar would indicate she could be available for the Cornet Bay event and if not then, Oscar will have to contain his passion until Jarrell's Cove.

She could always send Oscar P-mail. Sammy checks his P-mail at our mailbox nearly every day.

OK, we will be at Cornet Bay, so we shall see.

P-mail, eh? The ol' sniff and mark routine? Oscar is of course expert at that too...that is about how 90% of the time on our walks is taken up!

It never ceases to amaze me how dogs can get soooo excited about taking the same walk almost every day. Wouldn't it be nice if we could be just as excited to leave on our daily commute to work? They may not speak "human" but they're certainly able to communicate needs and wants...

How about Oscar? Any "Oscarisms?" His "special" way to tell you to get off your a$$ and do what he wants?
