James marine video

Wow... flashback time. Yellow footprints, canary yellow sweatshirts, the smell of the mess hall, the smell of the preservative in the utility uniforms, the DI frothing at the mouth as he calls you everything in the book... it's all coming back to me

Gunny Steve

On a serious note, give your son my regards and appreciation for his service. I wish him the best.

Sark gets the prize, which is fishing with me if you call that a prize or dinner on me. He graduates in two weeks then home for three weeks and then infantry school in pendleton. After that he will get his duty station but I expect he will be deployed to a sand box with in a year.

Congratulations Tom and Susan for raising such a fine young man! I imagine he's looking forward to his visit home with you soon!

Well, Its kind of unfair since I have met your son possibly more than alot of people here. But I'll take you up on fishing. It's been too long anyway obviuosly if I didn't know about this. Big :thup to James!!

It's nice to know there are still young men willing to answer the call of duty. You should be very proud. Please tell your son Congratulations and SEMPER FIDELIS for me.

Thanks everyone. We are very happy with his choice of service. Some kids have a plan and some don't, some are made for collage and some are not. James wants to go to collage but later after his service and just does not have the grades and ccommitmentto do it now. He is young at 17 but need the cchallengethat public schools just don't have for people like him. I expect to see a great change in him after boot camp and even a bigger one after 0311 school. I know that no matter what duty station he he gets after school he will end up deployed to the sand box with in a year, but I feel that it will be a good experience for him to see that world and just how bad life can be and just how evil people can be to one another. I doubt he will complain about how unfair it was for him not to have a XBOX after that.

Tom, here's a SALUTE and SEMPER FI. You have much to be proud of. Best wishes and prayers for your son and everyother uniformed serviceman(person)'s safe and soon return. And your are right, he will do a lot of maturing, won't ever be the same, and will hopefully be better for it.

Well darn. If you have lunch on MCRD today you'll likely be just a couple of hundred yards from the JennyB and I'll be down there this morning to put the mooring cover on and check on the bathtub. I'll PM my cell just in case

That is fantastic that you, Susan and James' girlfriend were able to travel to S. D. for such a "milestone" event! Savor the moments!

Missed your message yesterday because of travel. Congrats to your son for reaching this milestone and you for raising him.
