Jim and Laurie's medical reports

We have had an interesting early spring, and a few folks here knew how much fun we have been having.
Jim has had his Cervical Disk surgery... on Tuesday April 18th, the Dr. opened up the neck, drilled out between c5&c6-took out some bone spurs, then fused the em with a bone plug, and put a titanium plate over to hold the bone in place to aid healing. ... on pain meds adding to normal goofiness, hurting a bit now and then ,taking it easy sort of.learning limits...will be ready for Lopez!!!

Laurie on Monday the 22nd had an Angiogram and got great news that she has a heart and it is working good and her artieries are in good shape too, no sign of disiease... she is good to go and her normal sweet self.. Ready For Lopez too!!

Jim, that's just plain crazy to pay them docs for that little thing. I can get titanium from work and you know how handy Jon is with a fillet knife.

Geez - what a pain in the neck that must be! We sure wish you the best. And thanks for lightening up the post with Laurie's great report. Without that, one of the best jokes I came up with in a long time wouldn't have been posted.

Happy healing to you!

Hope you heal quickly, Jim. That neck pain is a real pain in the a... well, it's a real pain. Nice news on your good report, Laurie. Is Jim "milking" this to have you waiting on him?

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Jim, glad to hear that you are doing well and glad that Laurie's heart continues to pump with vigor! (Be sure to follow the Doctors orders so that all heals properly).

God speed on the healing, Brother!
PJ says that if anyone needs a heart, they can have mine-- good as new, never been used.

Echo everyone, be well and take care of both of yourselves!! :love :rose :hug

And don't go through any airport metal detectors either. I get buzzed everytime with my titanium knee....Despite the card I have from my surgeon. Don't know why they bother.. :?

Get well soon so I can boat vicariously through you two again.
It's about the only boating I am doing lately....

Hope to see those trip pics soon with both of your happy, smiling faces.

Thanks for all the nice words everyone. we appreciate your thoughts.
I am going in for my first followup on my neck surgery. so far so good though. I have tested my limits however and am paying the price for sure. Normal for me to test myself, since I have a boat in the back yard that wants to get in the water, and I have the time! Just no heavy projects on her thank goodness, just little projects.

We will have some newer C-Brats with us, Dave and Roberta to introduce to everyone for Lopez , so on way or the other We are gonna have the boat there.

Thanks ,C-Brat Family :love ,Jim

Looking forward to seeing you both. Glad you are on the mend. I am one of those needing a christening. The boat too.

We are bringing tw 1/4 barrels of some of our finest brews. OPne of which is a brand new beer only available at the brewery right now. Also will bring a few 22 oz bottles to use for christenings.

One more week.

Jim...be careful with those adult M&Ms....and Dav's new beer.. Funny things can happen. Save that for the recliner at home with a little Jimmy Hendricks in the background. Glad you are doing well and thanks for the coffee set up. Loven the stuff and it just shows up about the time I am getting close to running out. Happy, safe and soft travels. Broke my back in high school, flat on my back for 6 weeks straight....and really did what the physical terrorist.....I mean therapist said do...and can do most things I want now days...and basically no pain....other than when drastic cold fronts move in....and I just consider it an early warning to get a stronger adult beverage on board for sub freezing weather.... Grin.

Jim and Laurie, I like your spirit. Glad things went well. Keep on keepin' on, and take care of the chassis because it'll need to deliver another 100K, okay?
:rose
