Thanks for the nice anniversary wishes, folks. Yep, nearly 4 decades ago, I convinced this pretty blonde girl that I would be a catch. We were high school sweethearts before that. And they said it wouldn't last. :wink:

Of course, Joe and Ruth would remember this date, because it is their anniversary, also. :D Congrats back at ya!

Today, we are someplace warm, Charlie... in the dry ol' desert in Arizona. WAY away from our boat, we are visiting our daughter and son-in-law, staying in our 5th wheel. It has been pretty chilly here until yesterday (got to about 75 degrees today), but we have each other to keep us warm.

Next week I am off to the frozen northland to help with my Mother's rehabilitation and getting her settled back in her apartment. I'm looking forward to getting her independent again, but NOT looking forward to the cold.

A nice meal out and a movie. And just looking forward to more years together.

Thanks for the return congrats :D We can officially be called 'Forty-Niners" as of today. OBTW, we can relate to the statement that it wouldn't last.....between his friends, my friends and some family members, we wouldn't make it 30 days.

Wow, we are just short timers at 43! I think next year Jim and Joan will just have to take a back seat to Ruth and Joe making 50! Or as we say, "48 damn years and a couple of good ones!'
