Jinxed?

First, the bank drops the ball on the boat loan. (No big deal)
Then the boat gets rearended by a semi on the way to Sequim Bay to launch it for the first time. (Big deal)
Now I get a call from Sportcraft Marina telling me the boat is fixed. Before we accept the boat I take a close look at the repairs. The port motor looks OK but they haven't fixed the structural damage on the starboard motor, only the cosmetics. Granted the motor will run as is, but the brittle cast aluminum pan took a hit hard enough to break off a tab and can't be trusted. I had told them about this hard to see issue and was assured it would be fixed "as new". While I'm being picky they didn't remove the tire mark from the hull either.
They say luck, good or bad, comes in threes. I'm ready for the good kind!
Sheesh...

Yes- hang in there- and stick to your guns on the repairs. Make sure every little thing is done to YOUR satisfaction before taking delivery.

A 'tire mark' might only be 'cosmetic'. OTOH, what the hell is a tire mark doing on your hull??? (A rhetorical question, having read your earlier messages.)

Fish scales? Maybe.
Algae? Not so good.
Barnacles? Not!
But tire marks? I don't think so!

iggy

OK, both motors are fixed, the tire mark is gone, and the boat is home!
I say screw the jinx  , we'll let the flood wash it out to sea.
WOO HOO good times ahead!!! :cocktail :cigar :love

Look out! B~C is behind you now!

Woo Hoo is right! And about time! I would suggest you bring her down here for some crabbing this weekend, but it doesn't look like the weather is going to let up and the river is full of mud.

There ain't no jinx - you just used up your bad luck right off the bat and will have smooth sailing from here on out.

You have the right attitude for a C-Brat. Hope I get to see you on the water in the future.

maybe your Irish like me. If we did not have bad luck we would have no luck at all.

All I know is that the weather was nice around here and then C-Jinxed came to town. Now it's been raining buckets and the river is blown out. :)
Good to hear that all turned out well
