Just saying Hello

I am the purchaser of the C-dory (16 angler) from dranders in Royal Oaks a couple days ago and wanted to say hi. Been researching and searching for the right boat for me and decided the C-dory was it! Stout enough for the Monterey Bay, but easy to store in my yard 2 minutes from the harbor, or trailer to fresh water lakes for trout. And salmon season opens next Saturday around here...
Good luck to others looking, I knew I would have to be decisive quickly and pay for the quality and safety I needed to sleep at night...sorry Paul. I have had her out three times already and not been disappointed at all; she handles the seas even when they kicked up and I have felt very safe and secure. Thanks to dranders for keeping her so seaworthy.
Boat came extremely well equiped and all operational; but of course I already have many plans to improve her. High on the list is a paint job on the blue accent-any advice welcome. The paint has faded a bit, but it is only cosmetic and can certainly wait while I enjoy her this spring, summer and fall!

Tim – welcome aboard. You bought a great little boat and now belong to a fantastic group known as the C-Brats.

Before you paint your boat, read this thread. I believe it will answer most of your questions about the finish of your boat. If you still have questions after reading it, post a question here and it will probably be answered within a few hours.

Good luck with your new boat.

Tim- I really think you got the 'wow' deal of the year. Now order a Permatrim before the sun goes down today. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Tim.... 1st... Welcome aboard and you will for sure continue to love and enjoy your boat. Those 16s are for sure tuff boats. In addition to the other link that Old Growth tossed you.... here is one on the total restoration of the last 18 Angler made "By C-Dory" as a new boat. Now my good friend Old Growth, has for sure produced another 18' C-Dory....via the 2 ' extension stuck in the middle of a 16.
