King canvas question

When I bought Sally's Sister..(cdory22) last May i also purchased canvas from King . I did not put it up (except for the bimini) last season. Yesterday i rigged the whole enclosure and it looks great...fitted well, and it looks functional.
Other than the four pieces (bimini top, port side, stb'd side, and rear piece...there is what seems to be a storage back, canvas and mesh, with a zipper. It has four snaps at the top of the long edge..Can someone tell me where the bag is supposed to be snapped?

Tom,

Congrats, it looks like you got a deal! I bought my boat within a month of yours, as you know, with the same canvas, and I didn't receive a bag with mine.

By the way, I like the shelves and catch-all in your album. Nicely done!

Nick,
It will be fun comparing all the "renovations" at the gathering...
If you canvas is similar to mind (i have screens and plastic on sides, just plastic on back)...how to you handle entering and leaving the boat? I'm thinking about docking, for instance, when quick egress is needed...and my knees are not what they used to be! Yesterday, i unzipped the port corner and climbed in and out there...i kind of wish i had ordered a "door" on each side...or some such thing..But i do like the look of it, and it is well made and will be a nice addition when our mosquitos hit...and in the fall weather.

See you soon.

Tom,

My factory canvas "went away" on permanent vacation to Alaska (sold to tpbrady) when I had my new custom canvas made.

With my brief stint using the factory canvas on a rainy day in the Chesapeake, I had to unsnap the canvas at the forward edge by "punching" it from the inside. Resnappong from the inside was a bit of a challenge. I had the canvas guy add a zip-in door on each side on the new stuff.

By the way, I just picked up a piece of teak at West Marine to add a fiddle to the top storage area at the helm to replicate my version of what you did to yours.

Tom,
I also have the factory canvas and I find it really helps getting in and out if you unzip the roof partway so you don't have to scrunch over while getting onto the dock. Resnapping those forward snaps is a royal pain. I think the best idea is a zippered door like Nick talked about.
