Hello All! I'm new to the C-Dory Family, Happy to be aboard :D !

I have a question, Can anyone recommend a ladder that can be installed on a CD-19 Angler? Either permanent or removable collapsable ladder. Best location?

Thanks,
John

In my opinion, the best ladder is a swim step with ladder built in. They have been bought from the factory, or they are an after maket accessory.

Amazon has a number of swim platform, plus the ladder starting at $100. Be certain that the installation of the swim platform does not interfere with the range of the steering of the main engine/engines. Every boat nees one--it can save your life, as it has mine.

Thanks Bob, much appreciated!

Also, I have trim tabs, so I think I may need to go over the side of the boat.

The factory swim step is a clean option that can go over trim tabs assuming you have the space next to the outboard. I ordered one from the factory last year and installed it. Not cheap, but it adds a step as well as a ladder. The production time was several months, so be prepared to wait.

A less expensive aftermarket swim step should also work. https://www.fisheriessupply.com/garelick-transom-platform-with-telescoping-ladder-2-step/19537-01

Excellent, Thank you so much...I knew I could count on the C-Brat community!

Any of the after market swim platforms with ladders can be used with trim tabs. the off set back is considerable. There are side boarding ladders which are not bulky, telescope and not obtrusive. But we prefer the swim step type. I have added both the factory and the after market to C Dory transoms.

By the way, for this type of ladder, would you recommend stainless steel or fiberglass material?

For the swim platform either fiberglass or plastic between SS pieces to hold it in place. The ladder should be Stainess Steel, and treads should be plastic.
