Lake Powell for a long time

A C Dory is far more practical living space than the "Cell" mentioned above. :D

US population in mid 1946 (beginning of "baby boomers") was 149 million. In 1964: 192 million, Population now is about twice at 323 million. Longevity has increased by almost 20 years in this period of time. So there are many factors to consider. But the term "Baby Boomer" came because of the marked jump (%) from a stable prior to WWII at about 2.5 million a year to almost 4 million as GI's returned--and has stayed at that level pus or minus since.

For those "politico's" and "humanists", here is a grass roots organization that is a reflection of the old "Zero Population Growth" (ZPG) movement from the 1960's! Have a look, they are doing some valuable work and could use any support they can get!

So how many is too many?

It depends on your desired quality of life. If everybody gets to drive a car, then we need a world population about where it was in 1720. If the U District apartment shown above is okay for you, your wife, and 7 kids, then we can keep on going. Don't worry, nobody is going to do anything. Most people can't even talk about it.

That U District developer wasted a lot of space in that apartment. Each unit having it's own flush toilet --- what a waste. Share a bucket like aboard the Limpet.
