Looking for some thoughts. Finally thinking of repowering for my 90hp Etec with a new Tohatsu 90hp at 392 lbs. Tohatsu has all the other brands beat by at least $2k right now and $ of course is a huge concern and Tohatsu motors look like a great choice. Should I be concerned about the weight on the transom of my boat. I will have a kicker back there too. And of course the two fuel tanks. Thoughts Plz. Thanks

This is what found out while researching my electric conversion of a 22' cruiser.
According to the C-Dory website, 22 ft C-Dory hull is designed for:
So you may be a little heavy in the stern but you could balance it by putting some of the movable weight up in the bow, or you travel with less than full fuel tanks.
According to the C-Dory website, 22 ft C-Dory hull is designed for:
- Fuel Capacity up to 46 gallons = 275lbs
- Power Outboard up to 115 HP ~ 370 - 415 lbs

The hull was changed, IIRC, in the 1980s to add more lift in the stern for heavier outboards. It’s been covered here before so search the forum and see if you’re pre/post that change.
