I am now in Northern California...and I can order the Lazarette covers...

Same deal as last year.....at cost plus whatever the shipping comes to...

Last year the covers cost $35.55 each or $71.10 for the pair....the shipping to me from the company, divided equally came to $6.88 a set...and then whatever the postage is to you.... That makes them come to about 1/2 of the retail cost.... I order through my diving company...and sell them direct to you...no markup

Don't send me money yet.....What I need you to do is send me a PM and give me the name of your boat....your name and your mailing address...
THEN once you get them....add the postage and send me a check ...

These covers are to replace the Bomar hatch covers that the factory installed....the ones that leak....(badly)... They will not fit the early style boats with the full fiberglass factory covers...just the later (I don't know when they started) ones from Bomar... The hatches are Dream White
(same color as the Bomar hatches)... and fit the hole where the Bomar without any modification... just remove the Bomars and install these...they are real nice hatches, they fit well and don't leak..... I understand the factory is now using the same hatches in possibly a smaller size..
Trust me...these are nice.

Good question..... I will have to start looking at boat pictures...and see when C-Dory quit making those big fiberglass hatch covers and went over to the Bomars..... I am guessing somewhere in the 90's...someone will know...... As far as how new....I think only the 2009 and newer have the new hatches like these... easy to tell.... the Bomars fill with water every time it rains....they were never designed to be horizontal hatches...but were designed to mount vertical....

One last thing..... They will arrive in donut boxes...don't worry your cousin is not sending you a case of fat pills.... I just get the boxes from the coffee shop... (my morning hide-out)

Reason I asked is my 96' has large, irregular shaped hatches that certainly weren't intended to keep out water. They have a substantial latch, but no seal.

I know just what you are saying...... I wonder about going to Pick-A-Part Wrecking Yard and getting several trunk seals and gluing them down with some 5200 ? That stuff would glue down about anything...

Is the open inside dimensions more, the same, or less than the Bomars?

The reason I ask, it’s a really tight fit getting my two batteries in the starboard laz.

I had a 1999 with the fiberglass hatches these will not work or any of the pre 2000 boats I think that in about 2001 or so they changed over to the Bomar's I remember that in 2000 they changed the gas tanks over to 20 gallons and 2001or 2002 they changed the lazerette tops

Hey Joel

I think of you with gratitude every time I open one of the hatches. They are the single best improvement I have made on the boat.

I used to grind my teeth every time I opened the old hatches. Life is hugely better!

Joel,

"I think only the 2009 and newer have the new hatches like these... "

The new Sea Sport built 2009, 22 Cruiser, at the SBS had smaller than before, and old style (not for horizontal installation) laz covers.

The ones I got from you fit close, and work great, and thanks again for going to the effort.
