Location for Brutus Prawn/Crab trap puller

Wondering where those with a 22' crusier or angler placed the base plate for a Brutus puller. I have Penn downriggers and a Scotty base is necessary for the Brutus, which does not fit the gunnel. I was looking at the area aft of the lazaret (sp). Suggestions.
Thanxs, Chica

Chica,
The Scotty base does fit the gunnel (just) but you have to use the small, flat one which goes under the swivel base. Sorry but I don't have the part # to hand. I had the same dilemma as you until I fond this out and mounted it it just forward of the stern cleat.

Might be some pictures in my album.
Hope this helps,

Merv

Grumpy, thank you for the information. The part number is 1025 and I found it in two locations. Shaped like a T and bolts vertical to the side of the gunnel. Thanxs again, Chica

I have penn downriggers and swivel mounts and and the brutus pot puller with scotty mount. I went to a fab shop and gave them both the a penn mount plate and the scotty mount and had then make me an adaptor.
The plate screws into the swivel mount with the penn plate mounting screws (these holes were countersunk) and the scotty mount screws into 4 threaded holes in the alloy plate I had them fab. Total cost $35.
