Imabrat2, Welcome and Congratulations on the new to you 25. You are going to love it. And yes, it may take some time, but you will get over that. I know how you feel. I did the same thing (with a 22) about 10 years ago, and had a local Brat come out and show me the ropes, the radar, the electronics, and the local area. Best part about that is he has become a good friend as well.
You didn't say much about your boat, or if you single hand or are out with a family group. Makes no big difference, but it is helpful for us to help you if we have a bit more info. I know the hesitancy about posting on a new site, so take your time and be comfortable. We do have some pretty good CBGT's (in English, that's a C-Brat Get Together), and well worth taking advantage of; you get to see boats, cool people and learn good stuff.
Make it a point to find someone with a 25 C-Dory, and you will not regret it. You can go to the "BRAT Map" on the top of the home page and find boats that are close to you and then contact them via PM. Most folks on here are plenty willing to help a fellow Brat.
As Jason said, this site is a wealth of info, so read like crazy. This was your first post, so posting is new, but you may have been looking around on here for who knows how long. That's all OK, and anything you want to know about C-Dory's is probably already here. you can go to the "Forums" tab and just look down that list for something interesting or pertinent and click on that. OR, you can use the search button and put in important words, with AND (capitolized) between the words to find what you want. Like "VHF AND radio AND MMSI" to find a ton of info on yup you guessed it, MMSI and VHF radios. Of "Trailer AND bunk" for instance.
To ask the Admin fora photo album, go to the "Memberlist" again in the button bar below the home page logo banner, click on it and the first 2 or 3 names that pop up will be DaNerd (Bill) and Tyboo (Mike). click on the PM button and ask them for a photo album. They are pretty good about replying with in a day or so. They don't ask for much, just to Be Nice, And they are pretty cool guys too.
Hope that helps some, and again, Welcome and don't hesitate to ask.
Harvey
