Where can you get replacement blades besides the obvious auto stores does c-dory have the blade replacement part numbers for a 99 c-22 also the spring had to be replaced we used a replacement spring from Ace hardware How do you get those blades off ?

JennyKatz,

A pantographic wiper arm is one that has two parallel arms that are connected by shorter pivoting arms at each end. This causes the wiper blade to move in a single direction across the glass, rather than in an arc. Here's a link to West Marine

A quote from their site
"Pantographic arms allow the wiper blade to remain in a vertical orientation, sweeping a more useful pattern on the windshield. Corrosion resistant construction holds up to salt water, and the motor shaft mount has a set screw for secure clamping. Includes an "articulated bend back" feature for easy window cleaning."

jennykatz,

The wiper blades can be purchased at any good auto parts store...they are the same as used on old Willys Jeeps. You have to replace the whole assembly.

I couldn't view he pantographic wiper illustration on the original link suggested by Wandering Sagebrush, so here's another link, this time to the West Marine Catalogue.

You can see the regular arcing and pantographic wiper patterns contrasted there.

I'd love to have a pantographic wiper on the center window of my CD-22, but the package tray at the bottom of the window and the electronics shelf above make mounting any wiper motor difficult. I think one would have to cut a section out of the electronics shelf to mount the wiper motor in the best workable position.

Guess I'll just stick with a manual wiper on the center window. :sad
