I hear on the radio that there is a whale of a dock fire on the Columbia off of Marine drive....I hope there aren't any C-Brat boats there...I think they said it was at the Columbia River Yacht club. link to story http://www.katu.com/stories/82793.html

wow.. looks like a large fire at that... see just over 50 of our owners from OR, but none of them listing their home port as Columbia...

Pretty neat other story in that news site about the message in a bottle being found... Cool.

It sounded like the fire department and others did a great job of getting it put out. They only lost a few boat houses and boats, as tight as those boat houses are packed together, It's amazing how they kept the whole marina from going up in flames. One of the boats that went down was a fixer upper owned by the owner of Christenson Yachts, it was about a 1.5 million dollar fixer upper.

We had a marine fire her in everett last week and a buddys sea sport just got out in time. the boat two over from him burned and sank but lite the boat between johns and the sunk boat on fire. James and I saw the burnt boat over in the dry storage in everett yesterday. 34 ft grand banks style cruiser. I will go take pics of it today and post latter. Johns boat and others were all moved by other boaters and mostly live aboards. the everett marine is trying to get rid of the live aboard crowd during there remodel and expansion. I think these people provide a service just by being there, but hey I don't run the place nor have a boat there.
