Moose on the loose

Good grief! I guess you don't just walk up and pet a moose then, do you? Pretty cool footage!

Check out the Moose video of this moose that walked into the emergency room of an Anchorage hospital.

(thanks to Tyboo Mike for finding this link and showing me how to post it)

I doubt they do, but it's high-time there was an open-season on moose in Anchorage :!: :!: :thup :smilep Then things are cute and all, but having a garden and nice trees in your yard is almost impossible. Now there gettin so cocky; they practically have no fear at all of humanoids here  That always leads to trouble.
(No, I did not watch the clip) takes too long on a slow-modem :sad :amgry

mmmmm ... moose meat, gooood :smilep

Used to be a sign up near Soldotna somewhere that kept score of how many moose had been killed on that stretch of road that particular year...is it still there? I remember it being a pretty high number. I almost hit one in the 4Runner and I remember her belly being higher than the hood...thinking that if we collide, her chest is coming right through the windshield. Missed her by a few feet...scarey stuff. If you count moose-vehicle collisions, I have no doubt that moose kill more people than bears.

Right on, Greg...moose fajitas..mmmmm...moose roast...mmmmmmmmm...moose darn near anything...mmmmmmmmmm!

There's a simple solution to the moose in the yard. Shoot them in the butt with a heavy arrow with a blunt tip and they'll never come back. When you first move into moose country and find them in your yard it's fun but that soon wears off.
