Mounting Location for Safe

I don't want the "low life" that breaks into my vehicle to have access to my home address so he can drive to my house and rip me off there while I am out cruising.

Very wise, Dave. We ALL should be doing this as this has quickly become a common practice among the lowest scum of society.

Just read in the news that two guys (known as the "movie theater bandits) were arrested in Redmond for breaking into cars parked outside theaters and getting addresses from the vehicle registration and burglarizing homes, knowing the residents are at the movies. They are suspected in 27 residential burglaries and 17 car prowls.

Anytime you leave a house/vehicle, there is a chance of being burglarized. I have had several RV;s broken into and stolen--thus I now put them in safe storage when leaving in remote areas.

As for the house: quality alarm systems pay for themselves by reduction in insurance premiums. There is also video monitor etc.
