Go see Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. There is a fleeting view of a small boat and, at the end, a view of one of the Great Lakes. That aside, I think it's the best movie I have ever seen.

I haven't seen that one but since we're on the topic of recent movies, Joyce and I absolutely loved "Defiance". That was one of the few movies I've been to in the past many years were we were both glued to the screen in fascination. Good story, good acting, lots of action exceptional personal characters. So, I'll go see Gran Torino as soon as I get the chance but you've got to promise to see Defiance (if you haven't already)!

Both movies are terrific. My eyes were glued to the water on Gran Torino. In fact, I stayed for the credits just to watch and dream of boating there.

Frost-Nixon. Reminds us that even those we love to hate have humanity. Great movie. Also W, though not as good, made me feel sympathetic toward Bush in a way I never thought possible.
