MSN Groups to close??

Got this email this am. Is this us?

Dear MSN Groups Customer,

As a valued MSN Groups or MSN Communities Web Folders customer, we want to notify you that the MSN Groups service will close on February 21, 2009.

The email went on to give some options to move to another server. Did anyone else gat the email also?

Yes, I did. Not sure which MSN "group" I'm in though, it didn't tell me.

This site is not an MSN group and it doesn't apply to us. It may apply to other sites (like C-Dory RedFox), but even then my understanding is that MSN will migrate current group sites to whatever it is that replaces it.

Nope...and it's for reasons such as this, that we left MSN in the first place. We control our destiny around here, not Microsoft.

That being said...I've no idea what will happen to the old, read-only and archived MSN C-Brat site - that's TyBoo's baby.

I got that e-mail; sent me to another site where they were gonna move. The next day, I received another e-mail saying it was BS and they weren't moving at all.
