Guys! I just pulled in for the evening , fired up the laptop, and I'm sorry to say that your keyboards must be broken! :crook All kinds of weird stuff happening there.

Sure looks naked when I look in the rearview mirror and there isn't a cool C-Dory back there.

Time for some hot chocolate with a splash of vodka in it (don't know why I have that craving?).

Best wishes,
Jim B (on the road again)

You people on this site amaze me. If I spend enough time here, I may eventually learn something.

Mike – I was not aware you spoke Greek. The sentence “αυτό είναι όλος Ελληνικός εννοώ!” did not explain what it means. Could you have meant to say “Αυτό είναι όλα τα ελληνικά σε με?”

Mike – I agree. It is a little confusing and I am having a hard time keeping up.

I got the stupid and confusing part.

That I understand.

And I'm not sure if I want to know about the rest, either.

Enough already.... You folks have just go to learn how to use some of the translation sites on the internet like....

THIS ONE or something similar.... If us ignorant old guys can do it, any of you can....

Charlie

P.S. I really did take one semester of Russian in about 1962 but it was in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis and I was in the Naval Reserve and pretty unsure of myself. The only thing I remember how to say is "Please don't shoot me, I am a friend"....

Sorry Robbi, I ain't a "Mothers With Too Much Time On Their Hands" as Google defines it, unless you meant "Men With Too Much Time On Their Hands"....

Or those that think up shortcuts....

Guilty as charged, or just having too much fun... Could be worse... :cocktail :beer :smileo

Charlie - I was stationed in Germany during the Cuban Missile Crises in an armored Calvary unit on border patrol. At least a half dozen times a year we would have a practice alert and prepare to meet the Russians coming across the border. We would have field exercises and mock war games for a few days to maybe a month then head back to our base. During the CMC there was an alert but at the time we did not know about the Cuban Missile Crises, nonetheless we knew something serious was happening. During the CMC we were in the field for a year, living in tents and our equipment.

We were outnumbered in men and equipment 10 to 1 on the southern German Boarder where I were stationed. We were told they would be coming so fast and hard, chances are they would miss some of us and we would survive and be behind enemy lines. Our job was to try and stay alive and regroup after we were over-run, then form guerrilla groups to disrupt their supply lines.

I usually just change the font size in the browser (option+ on a mac) - but when you go to such small sizes, that involves too much scrolling. View page source with a find got me there quickly.
Roger - the way I do it is highlight the text, copy it and paste it into a blank word document. Then change the text to a normal size and black in color. Everything is there, easy to read and without the code.

Charlie, You are right. Could be worse. "Play On"! Robbi

So much for my expearment with posting in gray. Too little contrast on the darker background here and a little hard to read. I am going to go back to green for my posting color, but I will use a darker shade than before.

Now where were we?

Now that's just not nice.... :?

In the good old days, children like you were left to perish on windswept crags.

Didn't know there was actually a website devoted to swearing in Latin! They even have a SWEARSAURUS instead of a Thesaurus. If I weren't a gentleman (albeit a child gentleman), I'd give you one better, back. But I am...

Welcome to the club Merv!

Hummmmmmm...............I always wondered why I took high school Latin, since I did know for sure I wasn't going to be a priest!

If that is the case, then how do you explain the 90+ new post.

Just it-- nothing new happening, just more of the same.

Just had to see who would get the first prize in Latin !! Well done Charlie !
I second Oldgrowth's opinion though.

No, you may NOT use the Google translate function!
