Multilingual men behaving oddly

Pat - I think I am stumped with your test and I don't think you will find a gas station here.

Not bad, not bad at all...

I tried to post a message in Chinesse and the characters went though the Mac just fine, but wouldn't post, even though they appeared in the imput window!

Dave,

That is much more polite than the answer I got from my Brother who actually had to do part of his schooling in Welsh due to WWII. It obviously affected him since he spends his time sailing from N. Wales to Ireland, filling up with Guiness, then sailing back !! Not pretty water !

So a beer for you, and one daffodil and a pair of "wellie boots" to the uninititated. Let's see who knows where that thread leads.....

Now that our fellow Brats know the language, here is a Welsh toast that should please many Americans

Twll dîn pob Sais!
Merv

Darn it,

Should'a known that the Welsh language would have brought out the brewers of ale !!
Guess we are all stuck in front of our 'puters wondering what the night will bring in Puget Sound.
Good one Pat, now prove what you showed us on your slide show and sing us one chorus of Hen Wlad fy Nhadau at the next gathering. (or would that be a Hwyyrnos ?

BTW sorry to hear of your series of losses. Bin there, no words can help. only time.

Merv & Kathy

Me too Pat, sorry we'll miss you at the SBS this year, in the middle of a house sale here and gotta be in town... anyway...

너희들을 좋습니다, detta får ett lite gammalt…, 并且开始导致这个老灰色头真正的头疼。 يستطيع نحن ذهبت [بك تو] [تلك بووت] زوارق ثانية? Caesar si viveret, ad remum dareris.

Charlie

Charlie – not sure if the three sentences go together or not. The first one in Swedish is something about a little old sheep, the second in Arabic is about managing to go on the second boat and the third in Latin is giving something to Caesar. I don’t see how they fit together. Don’t know what the little [] are for.

Dave, for the latin bit:-

If Caesar were alive, you'd be chained to an oar

Merv

Heck, I forgot what it meant already.... :? I'm sure it was very complimentary though, except for the sheep and oar part...

Merry Christmoose.. :gift

Charlie

Charlie,
Be careful about referencing "little old sheep" and "oars" in the same sentence or you might get some more replies in Welsh :xlol
