I was completely unaware of all this flap announcing an off-site listing for my boat. I completely apologize. I will likely take the DA NAG's suggestion and post a regular listing for the boat later this week through the C-BRATS site with no more reference to that which is causing a flap - thanks for the heads up. I did not even think about some of the aspects of conflict of interest with the site that were mentioned and I find them all valid. - Mediaman

Mediaman, thanks for the apology. :embarrased Your willingness to be up front is refreshing. :thup You will find that most folks here are easy going. They get a little wrankled :amgry when the site is threatened because they realize that it is a special place :love and want to keep it that way. Welcome to the site. :wink
 
All is forgiven, if there was ever anything to forgive. I read your ad specs. You really should consider posting it here for sale - sounds like a very nice boat.
 
mediaman - request a photo album, post the photos of your boat in the album and post the boat in the boat for sale section. You will probably get more money for it here than on eBay and you do not have to pay a selling fee. You will also get lots of the members here promoting your boat. If it does not sell in a reasonable amount of time, you can still sell it on eBay. You have nothing to lose.
 
Better than requesting a photo album, use the existing For Sale Pics album and embed the pics in the ad message thread. That way we can keep a grouped record of the sold boat pics without the clutter and server space costs of a temporary album. Works best all the way around.
